Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ARISE SHINE LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Illume mobile application and the websites at illume.faith and try.illume.faith.

We built Illume with your privacy as a core commitment, not an afterthought. We collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and we will always be transparent about what we do and why. This policy is effective as of April 14, 2026.

This Privacy Policy covers information collected through: the Illume mobile application on iOS and Android; the Illume website at illume.faith; and the waitlist page at try.illume.faith.

It does not cover third-party services linked from our App or website. Those services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

IN THE APP: Illume is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. User Content (journal entries, prayer records, declarations, and personal notes) is stored locally on your device and backed up through your device's native cloud system (iCloud on iOS; Google Drive on Android). The Company does not hold this content on its own servers.

If you choose to link your Apple ID or Google account to enable cross-device features, the Company receives only the information provided by Apple or Google Sign-In (typically a unique identifier and, optionally, a name). We do not require your email address to use the App.

ON THE WAITLIST PAGE (try.illume.faith): If you submit your email address via the waitlist form, your address is collected solely to notify you when Illume becomes available and to provide updates about the App's development. You may unsubscribe at any time. We will not use your waitlist email for any other purpose.

ANALYTICS: The Illume website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that collects no personal data, uses no cookies, and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR. Plausible collects only aggregate, anonymous data such as page views, referral sources, and general device type. No individual user is tracked or identified. We do not use Google Analytics or any ad-based tracking tools.

We use the limited information we collect to: deliver and improve the App's functionality; send you waitlist updates and early access notifications (if you signed up); respond to your inquiries; and understand aggregate usage patterns through anonymous analytics.

We do not use your information to sell or share with advertisers, build personal profiles for marketing purposes, or target you with advertising of any kind. There are no ads in Illume products.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

We work with a small number of trusted service providers: Resend (resend.com) is used to send waitlist confirmation emails — Resend receives only the email addresses of users who have voluntarily signed up. Plausible Analytics (plausible.io) is used for anonymous, cookieless website analytics and receives no personal data. Apple and Google handle Sign-In directly under their respective privacy policies.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

User Content created within the App (journal entries, prayer records, notes) remains on your device and within your personal cloud backup ecosystem. The Company does not have access to this content.

Waitlist email addresses are stored securely with Resend and are used only for the purposes described in this policy.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information; and unsubscribe from waitlist or notification emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take prompt steps to delete it.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@illume.faith.

If you join our waitlist at try.illume.faith, you will receive a confirmation email and periodic updates about Illume's development and launch. These communications are transactional and informational in nature.

You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at info@illume.faith.

The App and website may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including Apple, Google, and scripture reference tools. These services operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party service.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this document. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the App or via email where appropriate.

Your continued use of the App or website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
